Massif=Solid

Manche=Handle

Mitre=Bolster

Platine=Plate

Tire-Bouchon=Corkscrew

Poincon=Piercer

Ressort=Spring

Lame=Blader

Droite=Right

3mm epaisseur=3mm weight

The above diagram shows the parts of a Laguiole knife. You can make a knife choosing each part of a knife. Each year the different pieces chosen by Arbalete G. David make up the year's collection

The price will depend on the following factors:

  • The size of the blade (8,9,10,11,12,13 cm or 3-5")

  • The number of bolsters (0,1,or 2)

  • The material of the bolsters (Brass,Inox -Stainless Steel-in polished or brushed, or Maillechort, a more noble stainless steel.

  • The material of the Handle, such as horn, tip of horn, olivewood, etc.

  • A more industrially made spring and adornment of the spring&bee, or an artisan and hand made ressort&abeille forge, guilloche main -hand done scrollwork)
